Eleanor Chan

Eleanor Chan joined Aurelius as an Analyst in December 2005, shortly before the launch of the Aurelius funds. Over the last several years, Ms. Chan has held the position of Portfolio Manager, then Co-CIO and now CIO. She has been a top contributor to performance since her early days at the firm. In recent years, Ms. Chan has re-energized and adjusted Aurelius's investment program, which facilitated the firm's outstanding performance during 2021-2023.
Ms. Chan’s positions have spanned a wide variety of corporate credits, structured finance, sovereign credits, and event-driven equities. Prior to joining Aurelius, Ms. Chan was an investment banking analyst in the Financial Institutions Group at Lehman Brothers in New York.
Ms. Chan was raised in Hong Kong. She has resided in the United States since moving here to attend college at Yale University, where she received a B.A. in Economics and International Studies, cum laude. Ms. Chan is fluent in Chinese and French.
